GENERAL INFORMATION
[Diploma in Accountancy (DIA), Diploma in Business Studies (DBA) & Diploma in Agro-Business(DAB)]
Academic Year
The minimum duration for the Diploma courses, Diploma in Accountancy (DIA), Diploma in Business Studies (DBS) and Diploma in Agro-Business (DAB) is between a minimum of 2 1/2 years (which is 5 semesters) and a maximum of 3 1/2 years (which is 7 semesters).
The regular academic year is divided into two semesters where each semester comprises 23 weeks - one orientation week, fourteen weeks of lectures, one week of mid-semester break, one revision week, two weeks of final examinations and four weeks of semester holiday
Academic Load
A normal course load consists of six subjects including repeat papers which range from 18 to 21 credit hours per semester. A student must register a minimum of 18 credit hours or 6 subjects per semester. Any students wishing to register more than 21 credit hours per semester must obtain an approval from the College Senate.
Course Assessment
Continuous assessment throughout the course supplemented by written examinations at the end of each semester. Upon completion of a subject at the end of each semester, a student’s performance will be evaluated and graded. All grades submitted are final
